Refund Policy

Effective Date: March 7, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases of PCMojo subscriptions made through our website or our designated merchant of record (currently LemonSqueezy). This policy supplements the PCMojo Terms of Service.

1. Free Trial — Try Before You Buy

PCMojo offers a 14-day free trial of all paid features. The trial begins when you first install and activate the application on your device. No payment information is required to start a trial. We strongly encourage you to use the full trial period to evaluate whether PCMojo meets your needs before purchasing a subscription.

2. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you purchase a PCMojo annual subscription and are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within thirty (30) days of your initial purchase date. This guarantee applies to first-time purchases only. No questions asked — simply contact us and we will process your refund.

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Eligible for a Full Refund

  • First-time subscription purchases requested within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • Duplicate or accidental charges (at any time).
  • Charges that occurred after you cancelled your subscription due to a billing error.

3.2 Not Eligible for a Refund

  • Refund requests made more than 30 days after the initial purchase date.
  • Subscription renewal charges, unless you can demonstrate that you cancelled before the renewal date and were charged in error.
  • Requests from accounts that have previously received a refund for a PCMojo subscription.
  • Dissatisfaction caused by third-party software changes (e.g., a macOS or Microsoft Office update that temporarily affects compatibility), unless we are unable to restore functionality within a reasonable period.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request."
  2. Include the email address associated with your purchase and, if available, your order number or license key.
  3. We will respond within two (2) business days to confirm your request.

Refunds are processed through our merchant of record and will be returned to your original payment method. Please allow five to ten (5–10) business days for the refund to appear on your statement after processing.

5. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancelling your subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions:

  • Cancellation stops your subscription from renewing at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until your current period expires. You can cancel at any time through your account dashboard.
  • Refund returns the fees you have paid and immediately revokes access to paid features. Upon receiving a refund, your license key will be deactivated, and the application will revert to free-tier functionality.

6. Effect of Refund

When a refund is issued:

  • Your license key will be deactivated.
  • Paid features (including Alt Keys ribbon navigation, keyboard remapping profiles, and Alt Tab window picker) will be disabled.
  • Free-tier features, if any, will remain available.
  • Your local configuration data (calibration profiles, preferences) will not be deleted from your device. If you resubscribe in the future, your settings will still be available.

7. Renewal Charges

Your subscription renews automatically each year. We will send a renewal reminder via email at least seven (7) days before your renewal date. If you do not wish to renew, please cancel before the renewal date through your account dashboard. We do not issue refunds for renewal charges except in cases of billing error as described in Section 3.1.

8. Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues promptly, and reaching out to us first helps us serve you better. If a chargeback is filed without prior contact, we reserve the right to suspend your account and contest the chargeback through the appropriate payment dispute process.

9. Consumer Protection and Applicable Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. If the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or region provide refund rights that exceed those described in this policy, those statutory rights prevail.

For customers in the European Union: you have the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within fourteen (14) days of purchase under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, provided that you have not begun using the Service. By activating your license key, you acknowledge that you have begun using the Service and consent to the loss of your withdrawal right with respect to that purchase.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated via email at least thirty (30) days before taking effect. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.
